There is something in the air… It hangs like a low cloud that blankets the skyline as far as the eye can see. I know you’ve felt it. I can see it in your eyes.
Our world is constantly changing—an inevitable flow like the waters of a great river. There are times where the water is calm. You can choose your course, peer into the crystal blue depths, and watch your reflection ripple out across the tranquil surface. Yet, like all rivers, there are times where the current threatens to pull you under and drown you.
I believe that as we round the bend in the river of fate and destiny, we are coming upon a time of great trial and tribulation.
That does not mean that all is or will be lost. If you were to ask me—which since you’re still listening implies that you are—I’d state it was quite the contrary actually. It is through these times of great change and trials that we are forged anew. We may bend or even break, but that is all but part of the process of change.
I’m not sure where you’ll end up when the waters calm and the river once more is but a tranquil reflection of the now. I do know this: you will have changed. The question you must answer for yourself, is will it be for better or worse?
In the end, that’s up to you to decide, my friend.
